About me
I believe your body
already knows what it needs.
It just needs the right support.
— Sammy Jo Lacy

I'm a certified Nutritional Therapy Practitioner who put her own Hashimoto's into remission through food, lifestyle, and addressing the root — not just the symptoms.

Now I help other women do the same. If you've been dismissed, told your labs are normal, or simply exhausted from feeling like something is off — you're in the right place.

"I didn't just want to manage symptoms.
I wanted to understand the why — and actually fix it."

That question changed everything for me. It led me away from symptom-chasing and toward a deeper understanding of how the body works — and what it needs to thrive.

My story

It started in my kitchen —
not a classroom.

When my son was born in 2021, he began developing multiple food sensitivities. Like any new mom, I went searching for answers — and that search pulled me deep into the world of gut health, immune function, and the profound connection between what we eat and how our bodies respond.

I became obsessed — in the best possible way. I started questioning everything I thought I knew about nutrition, and began to see the body not as a collection of symptoms to be managed, but as an intelligent system trying to communicate.

"Your body isn't broken. It's doing exactly what it was designed to do — you just need to give it what it's asking for."

Then came my own diagnosis. In 2022, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis — an autoimmune condition that left me exhausted, frustrated, and dismissed by conventional medicine. But everything I'd been learning gave me a roadmap.

Through targeted nutrition, lifestyle shifts, mineral balancing, and nervous system support, I was able to put my Hashimoto's into remission. Not manage it — reverse it.

That experience — as a mom navigating her child's health, and as a patient navigating her own — became the foundation of Wellspring Wellness. I completed my NTP certification through the Nutritional Therapy Association in 2026, and I now work with women who are tired of being told their labs are "normal" while still feeling anything but.

My philosophy

Things I deeply believe

one
Your symptoms are signals, not sentences.
Fatigue, bloating, brain fog, hormonal chaos — these aren't just annoyances. They're your body trying to tell you something. My job is to help you listen, not suppress.
two
Bio-individuality is everything.
No two bodies are the same. What works for someone else may not work for you — and that's not failure, that's biology. Every protocol I build is unique to you, your labs, and your life.
three
Real food is medicine.
Deeply nourishing, nutrient-dense food — quality animal proteins, mineral-rich vegetables, properly prepared grains — is the foundation of everything. Not restriction. Not perfection. Nourishment.
four
"Normal" labs don't always mean optimal.
If you've been told everything looks fine but you still feel awful, I see you. Standard reference ranges are broad. I look for optimal — and I look for patterns that tell a deeper story.
five
Lasting change takes time — and that's okay.
True, sustainable change doesn't happen in 7 days. I'm not here to sell you a detox or a reset. I'm here to walk alongside you as your body learns to regulate, repair, and thrive.
