Nutritional Therapy Disclaimer, Scope of Practice & Privacy Notice

Purpose of Nutritional Therapy

The fundamental goal of Nutritional Therapy is to encourage individuals to become knowledgeable about—and responsible for—their own health. Wellspring Wellness provides Nutritional Therapy services intended to support overall wellness by addressing foundational lifestyle and nutritional factors, including:

  • Nutrient-dense diet

  • Sleep

  • Stress management

  • Digestion

  • Blood sugar regulation

By supporting these Foundations of Health, the body’s natural balance and function may be supported. Nutritional Therapy is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.

Scope of Practice

A Nutritional Therapy Practitioner (NTP) is trained to evaluate nutritional needs and provide general education and recommendations related to food, lifestyle habits, and nutritional supplementation. An NTP does not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, perform medical treatments, or provide medical advice.

No statements, recommendations, services, or materials provided by Wellspring Wellness—whether in person, online, or in written form—should be construed as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Client Responsibility & No Guarantee of Results

Achieving wellness requires personal responsibility, commitment, and, in many cases, meaningful lifestyle changes. Results vary based on individual biochemistry, compliance, and circumstances. No specific results are guaranteed, and Nutritional Therapy may not be appropriate for every individual.

Medical Conditions & Coordination of Care

If you have a medical condition, injury, illness, or are experiencing concerning symptoms, you are advised to consult with a licensed healthcare provider. Nutritional Therapy services are not a substitute for medical care.

If you are under the care of a physician or other healthcare provider, you are encouraged to inform them of any dietary changes or nutritional supplements you choose to use. Nutritional Therapy may be used as a complementary approach but may affect medication needs or responses. You are responsible for discussing potential supplement–medication interactions with your pharmacist or healthcare provider.

If you experience any adverse physical or emotional reaction to nutritional recommendations, discontinue use immediately and consult an appropriate healthcare provider.

Communication & Ongoing Adjustments

Every individual is biochemically unique. Responses to dietary changes or supplements cannot be predicted with certainty, and recommendations may require adjustment over time. To support the effectiveness of Nutritional Therapy, clients are responsible for:

  • Following nutrition and lifestyle recommendations

  • Consuming a properly prepared, nutrient-dense diet

  • Avoiding harmful foods, substances, and behaviors

  • Engaging in regular movement

  • Prioritizing adequate sleep and stress management

  • Maintaining open and timely communication with Wellspring Wellness regarding progress, challenges, or changes in health status

Other healthcare providers are welcome to contact Wellspring Wellness with client authorization.

Licensure & Certification Disclosure

Nutritional Therapy Practitioners are not licensed healthcare providers in the state of Kentucky. Certification is provided by the Nutritional Therapy Association, Inc.®, which certifies individuals who have completed required coursework and examinations. Laws and regulations regarding nutritional services vary by state and may change over time.
